Fruits – the perfect start for my day!

I start my day with fruits. Always! Any kind of fruits and in any shape (cut into a fruits salad, eat as it comes, but mostly I prefer them in the smoothies. I usually make a smoothie with whatever fruits I have in the house. I like, though, if it contains avocado because it gives a certain texture, creaminess, and thickness that I’m crazy about.

I always use either orange juice or vegetal milk to blend the fruits (with orange juice will be a bit juicier). Never dairy products. I’ve tried a few times in the past and the combination with fruits made me sick. But it depends, you can try with yogurt for instance.

Let’s show, however, some mercy for nature and use dairy-free products, as much as possible! I usually use either almond or soy or coconut milk or any combination of them.

Here are just a few combinations of smoothies you can try. But now you know it, you can make with whatever fruits you have. You don’t have to buy exotic fruits that you see on the TV.
Use local, fresh, seasonal fruits!

If some of the combinations are too sour, then add some more dates or maple syrup or any other sweetener. Add chia seeds and nuts to make it even healthier and tastier.

I also use vegetables to make a smoothie. For example, cucumber or beetroot in combination with orange juice. It’s very refreshing and of course, packed with good stuff.
